How to Keep your home ready to in perfect condition and ready to sell

by Gena Dowell

Create a daily schedule:

Cleaning your house as though you have a showing every day is an excellent strategy when selling your house. Making your bed when you get up, washing your dishes after you're done using them, preventing clutter from building up on counters, and folding clothing after it's been washed and dried are just a few examples of tasks you should do as you go. As necessary, you should also finish additional jobs like mopping and vacuuming. You may assign jobs to other family members so that you can keep up with all the household responsibilities.

Clean up your area:

One of the first things you should do after deciding to sell your house is to declutter it. Your house will become less personal as a result, and your space may appear larger. But it will also lessen the amount of stuff you have to worry about cleaning. Rearrange your belongings, and consider giving anything that is no longer needed or wanted. You may start packing by clearing out any unnecessary goods from your house and putting them in orderly boxes in your garage or storage area. Alternatively, you can ask a friend or family member to let you store a few items at their house.

Get rid of smells:

Few things may damage a prospective buyer's opinion of your house as much as an offensive smell. To maintain your house smelling as nice as it looks, follow these suggestions:
Avoid cooking anything that has a strong flavor, like seafood.

- After taking out the bags, clean the garbage cans.

- Don't let the laundry build up.

- Get rid of any dog beds and litter boxes.

- Keep stale shoes hidden from view.

- Utilize baskets.

Keep a basket in areas like the living room or kitchen where items tend to collect. Place any out-of-place items in the basket and put them away at the end of the day. If you learn of a last-minute showing and need to hastily store a few items, baskets are also useful. If time is of the essence, you can put the shopping basket in the backseat of your automobile.

Check each night:

Sometimes you won't find out about a showing until a few hours before it starts. Therefore, check your home thoroughly each night before you turn in to ensure that nothing is amiss. Any duties you come across, such as taking the mail off the kitchen counter or hanging the jacket in the closet, should be finished.
Use only one restroom

Consider utilizing only one bathroom if your home has numerous bathrooms to help prevent messes. Before a last-minute appearance, cleaning a single bathroom will be simpler. Till your property sells, take on these daily duties to keep your bathroom looking great:

- sanitize the bathtub

- Clean the sink.

- Sweep the ground.

- Clean the bathroom.

- Set up a routine before you depart.

Make sure you finish a few quick chores before leaving your house for the day, such flushing the toilets, emptying the trash, rinsing the kitchen sink, and inspecting all the rooms. Also, before leaving, pause for a moment to lock your door and come back inside with fresh eyes to make sure everything is in order.

Your home will sparkle when the new owner enters the house for the first time if you maintain it tidy throughout the selling process.
